Run, Bruce

Before running has long been a form of sport for people, it is a survival skill. People must know how to run if they want to live another day.

Running has taught me how to run from negativity and self-doubts. So I only run towards my bright future. If can be recorded, it can improve.

    Another one.

First of all, I trained hard for this race. It was pretty challenging to cover necessary distances during hot summer, I enjoyed every long run. Those small wins were added up to make myself ready for the race.

Chuncheon marathon has earned its reputation with its beautiful scenery alongside the course. But many pro runners say its route is not optimal for breaking records. I became pretty nervous. I think I was nervous because I really wanted to set my new PB but I know little about the race.

Long story short, I was able to set my new records, because I emptied my mind and planted a seed of faith. I only trusted my training I did before. And I kind of like ignore all my inner voices that say I should run safe. I just ran. I just ran with the flow. I didn’t worry but only ran. I think that was the secret sauce for my PB. I’m happy/

What a fun half marathon it was!

I was fortunate to be able to participate in a local race while I was in Melbourne. I loved the whole friendly vibe across the event. The crowd is cheering the runners and runners were not so serious but looked more excited. I liked it about that.

The route was encompassing the big lake, and one lap was about 7K so I ran 3 laps. It was really fun running.

On a side note, I showed up to some of running sessions hosted by different running communities. I enjoyed all of it. Seriously, Aussie people are blessed with the perfect weather for running.

    I shook up the world!!!

It was really me verses me during the whole race. At the starting line I imagined me crossing the finish line with a smile. I cannot recall, but I don’t think I was smiling at the finish line. It doesn’t matter, because I’m a living proof of vivid imagination. I believed I could run all the way. And I did exactly that. What a race.
